Blood Donation Stigma

The FDA’s proposed altering of the ban on men who have sex with men (MSM) who want to donate blood continues to create stigma and barriers to MSM and HIV positive persons. Even with the relaxing of the rules and “lifting” of the ban, Stigma still is prevalent in 2015.

Aging and HIV Webinar

National Community Health Partners held a webinar on HIV and aging. Presenter Raeanne C. Moore, PhD from the University of California, San Diego provided us with an overview of cognition with regards to HIV & Aging and the results of her recent survey of older HIV positive veterans. Another Cycle of Free CBA from NCHP

We're pleased to announce National Community Health Partners is entering its fourth (4th) funding cycle with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to provide capacity building assistance to community-based organizations (CBOs) across the country and in the eight (8) US territories. The goal of this five-year program is to assist CBOs in the development, implementation and maximal sustainability of High Impact Prevention (HIP) strategies targeting individuals at high risk, persons living with HIV/AIDS and individuals with unknown status.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day sparks dialogue among African Americans in Tucson

February 7 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD). Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and National Community Health Partners are collaborating to bring public awareness in Tucson. This year’s theme is “Our ancestors fought that we might be free – EVEN FROM HIV!”  Read the full press release
