Collaborating with community stakeholders to help serve underserved populations

Another Cycle of Free CBA from NCHP

National Community Health Partners is entering its fourth (4th) funding cycle with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to provide capacity building assistance to community-based organizations (CBOs) across the country and in the eight (8) US territories. The goal of this five-year program is to assist CBOs in the development, implementation and maximal sustainability of High Impact Prevention (HIP) strategies targeting individuals at high risk, persons living with HIV/AIDS and individuals with unknown status.

Our capacity building assistance program will provide training, technical assistance and technical consultation in such areas as organizational development and management, prevention with positives and prevention with high risk negatives. Each of these areas houses a plethora of capacity building assistance modules aimed at increasing the capacity of community-based organizations – a fundamental aspect of HIV prevention efforts.

The CDC estimates that more than 1.1 million people in the US are living with HIV, and nearly 50,000 new infections occur each year in the United States. Effective capacity building assistance is an integral component of current efforts at stemming the impact on structurally vulnerable communities.

We are excited to continue our work with both current and newly developed allies in this endeavor!
