HIV/AIDS Prevention Trainer

LOCATION: Tucson Office

SUMMARY:
Full-time position, responsible for providing prevention trainings and educational activities to Health Departments, Non-Profit organizations, coalitions and communities at large.

SUPERVISOR: Project Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred Master’s Degree in the Social Sciences, Public Health, and/or Education and 3 years’ experience in HIV/AIDS Prevention activities.
  • Minimum, Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences, or Education and 5 years’ experience in providing HIV/AIDS Prevention activities and its impact in communities of color.
  • Experience working with various racial/ethnic groups.
  • Experience and ability to work with the individuals of the LGBT community.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assist with planning and implementing trainings and workshops.
  • Develop and adapts training materials.
  • Coordinates distribution of educational materials.
  • Documents activities and monitors their progress.
    Assist with publications.
  • Attends and participates in national conferences.
  • Provides written reports on a timely basis.
  • Maintains appropriate direct service percentage.
  • Participates in networking activities.
  • Other duties, as required.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and manage time.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Able to travel.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.
