Collaborating with community stakeholders to help serve underserved populations

Program Development

A program is a planned sequence and combination of activities designed to achieve specified goals and objectives related to the improvement of health outcomes for HIV positive persons and those at risk of HIV infection.

Program development is an ongoing planning process.

This training provides an overview of the program development process, which includes elements such as community needs assessment, logic model development, recruitment and retention, program marketing, and project evaluation.

At the conclusion of this training participants will be able to:

  • Delineate the steps involved in program development
  • Explain the process of identifying potential funding sources
  • Formulate goals, objectives, and an action plan
  • Illustrate the relevance of conducting project evaluations

Our trainings are available to directly funded community based organizations free of charge.

Please request trainings using the CBA Request Information System (CRIS) and ask for NCHP.

In some circumstances, if you are unable to access the system directly, your local health department may be able to request on your behalf.
