Strategic Planning

A Strategic Plan is a working document that provides guidance for an organization by identifying goals and the path to achieving those goals.

This training focuses on developing a strategic plan to address the specific needs of an organization.

At the end of the training participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the purpose and importance of strategic planning
  • Explain the framework of a strategic plan
  • Identify who should be included in the development of the strategic plan
  • Formulate the organization’s mission statement, vision, and value statements
  • Develop written goals and strategies

This is available as a training or technical assistance.

Our trainings are available to directly funded community based organizations free of charge.

Please request trainings using the CBA Request Information System (CRIS) and ask for NCHP.

In some circumstances, if you are unable to access the system directly, your local health department may be able to request on your behalf.
